HIV Counselling

There are many people living with HIV and AIDS in South Australia. For some life remains unchanged; for others life has changed dramatically.

Although effective new treatments for HIV have become available in recent years, choosing the right treatment and sticking with it can be a difficult task. Sometimes the side effects of medications are so severe that people are unable to work. And some people are unable to work due to illness. The subsequent loss of income can make life very hard. Some people can become depressed or anxious, while others may feel isolated or alone.

Positive Services Financial Counselling helps people living with HIV/AIDS by providing financial counselling, advocacy, information, and referrals to other locally available services. The project also offers access to financial assistance through the Red Ribbon Fund and the Bobby Goldsmith Fund.
